MotoGP 2025 Schedule Opens In Thailand, Mandalika Circuit Enters 18th Series

MotoGP 2025 will open in Thailand (Instagram/@motogp).

JAKARTA - The 2025 MotoGP will start rolling at the end of February 2025 with Thailand as the opening series. Scrolling at the Buriram Circuit, the race will take place from February 28 to March 2, 2025.

The selection of Thailand as the opening series is the first time this has happened. The reason is, in a previous edition, the opening series has never started in Southeast Asia.

Generally, the opening series for the MotoGP season will be held in Qatar. Because the opening series will be held at the end of February 2025 which coincides with the month of Ramadan, Qatar prefers the schedule after the opening series to be precise in April 2025.

However, before exploring Qatar, the riders will first travel to the Americas by racing in Argentina and the United States.

For the racing agenda in Europe, the series will start from Spain, France, England, Aragon, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, to San Marino.

Interestingly, in European races, the return stage of the Ceska Republic series, which is located at the Brno Automotodrom Circuit.

The Brno Automotodrom Circuit, which has been holding races since 1993, will return to being the race venue, which in the last five years has been absent from the MotoGP calendar.

The last time the Brno Automotodrom Circuit held a race was in 2020. Having been involved in financial problems after the COVID 19 pandemic, the Brno Circuit will finally enliven the world's elite racer fight again.

Then after navigating the Circuit on the Blue Continent, the agenda for the main class of racing as usual immediately went to Asia.

The series will begin with a race in Japan and then continue to Indonesia at the Mandalika Circuit in October 2025 which was recorded as the 18th series.

The race village in Mandalika, the riders shifted to Australia and continued to Malaysia. After that, returned to Europe for the race in Portugal and ended in Valencia in the final series.
