Emilia Contessa Last Breath At Banyuwangi Hospital

JAKARTA - Emilia Contessa, an old singer who is also the mother of Denada, died today, Monday, January 27. She breathed her last at a hospital in Banyuwangi, East Java at around 18.00 WIB.

The news of Emilia's death was confirmed by Risna Ories, the manager of Denada. He said Denada had also flown from Jakarta to Banyuwangi to see the deceased.

"He (Denada) is already at the airport, he received news that his mother, Aunt Emilia Contesse, had passed away earlier, at 6 pm Banyuwangi time at the hospital," Risna told the media crew, through a virtual meeting.

He explained that the deceased had had several history of serious illness in recent years.

Emilia, who at the end of her life lived at the end of Java Island, also often visited Jakarta and Singapore for treatment.

Risna said further information regarding the death of Emilia Contesse would be reported by Denada. However, he asked that the family be given a moment of mourning.

"For the details later from Mba Denada, maybe wait for it to calm down," he said.

"It's just that (Deanya and her mother) had a chance to chat (via on the phone). It seems that this afternoon, she did have communication with Ms. Denada," he added.

Banyuwangi seems to be an inseparable part of Emilia Contesse. He was born in Blambangan Land on September 27, 1957.

Born to parents who like music, Emilia built her musical journey as a child singer from Banyuwangi, before finally achieving success in Jakarta.

In the past decade, Emilia, who has started practical politics, has also made Banyuwangi her electoral base. He was elected as a member of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) for the 2014-2019 period.

Until finally, Emilia breathed her last in her homeland, Banyuwangi.
