Golfer Holly Victoria Learns A Lot From IWO 2025

JAKARTA - Indonesia's mainstay golfer Holly Victoria Halim learned many important lessons during her 2025 appearance at the Indonesia Women's Open (IWO) last week.

Holly finished the event at the top ten on Sunday, January 26 yesterday. He ended up in T6 after finishing the third round with a total of 6-under-par (210).

The 20-year-old golfer admits he still has a lot to fix if he wants to play and compete at a higher level against world top golfers.

"I have to train even harder, correct my mistakes this time, and surely there are still a lot of players who are much better, not just in Asia Pacific, but in the world there is still a lot to learn from them," he said.

When appearing on the last day of the tournament, Holly made one of the mistakes was the selection of sticks and clubs. This makes the ball not stick with holes making it difficult to score beer.

The mistake was made in the third hole so he had to get a habit. However, he was finally able to score beer-birdies in the last two holes to fix the score.

"I wasbogey not because of a bad blow, but I chose a stick so that the ball passed and the putting went down was actually difficult to get two putts. So, more to the management coach, more to the strategy," he explained.

After appearing at the Indonesia Women's Open 2025, Holly also has ambitions to make her dream of appearing in the golf tournament of the Women's Professional Golfers Association (LPGA).

IWO 2025 itself was won by South Korean golfer Hwang Yoona. The 22-year-old golfer beat compatriot Cho Jeongmin, who had led the leaderboard for two days, in the play-offs.

Yoona and Jeongmin had to continue their game in the additional play-off after both recorded a total score of 206 (10-bottom-par).

This result gives Yoona the right to a total of 300 thousand US dollars. This is the first title for a 22 year old golfer after four years of professionalism.
