JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission VI DPR RI Anggia Erma Rini said that the Draft Law (RUU) on the Third Amendment to Law Number 19 of 2023 concerning State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) would be discussed at level 2 in a plenary meeting to be approved as law.

"After receiving, listening and seeing the final opinion of the factions, we can conclude that out of the eight factions in Commission VI of the DPR RI, they have approved the BUMN Bill to be brought to level 2 discussions in a plenary meeting to be approved as law," said Anggia at the Level I Working Meeting, at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Saturday.

Anggia said, on Thursday (23/1), a level 1 working meeting with the government represented by SOE Minister Erick Thohir, Minister of Law and Human Rights Supratman Andi Agtas, and Deputy Minister of Finance had been held in the context of explaining Commission VI of the DPR RI and conveying President Prabowo Subianto's views regarding the Bill on the Third Amendment to Law Number 19 of 2003 concerning SOEs.

Furthermore, Commission VI of the DPR RI has already carried out a plan for the need for unit goods (RKBU) on Thursday (30/1) with experts, academics, in order to get input related to the draft law.

"Commission VI of the DPR RI has also held a working committee meeting (panja) on January 31, 2025, on February 1, 2025, the Meeting of the Perumus Team and the Synchronization Team on February 1, 2025," said Anggia.

Furthermore, Anggia asked for approval from the factions and government representatives to sign a draft bill and an explanation that had been mutually approved.

The factions present approved the bill's script, which will then be discussed again in the upcoming plenary meeting, and passed as law.

Chairman of the Working Committee (Panja) of the Draft Law on the Third Amendment to Law Number 19 of 2023 concerning State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Eko Hendro Purnomo said there were 11 main ideas contained in the bill.

Some of them are related to the completion and expansion of the definition of SOEs, the addition of definitions related to BUMN subsidiaries, the arrangement of the Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (Danantara), the arrangement of business judgment rules, the management of BUMN assets, human resource arrangements, the establishment of subsidiaries. companies, corporate actions, BUMN privatization, internal supervision and regulation of SOE obligations.
