PT Timah Tbk expressed an apology for the video of one of the employees with the initials DCW who mocked honorary workers using BPJS Kesehatan. This video went viral on social media and made netizens furious.

This apology was conveyed by PT Timah in his X account, @Official_TIMAH. PT Timah emphasized that his company upholds ethical and mutual respect values.

"The company apologizes to all parties who are disturbed by the social media activities of one of the employees suspected of spreading information that discredits certain parties," wrote the account @Official_TIMAH, quoted on Sunday, February 2.

PT Timah emphasized that the statement made by DCW was not related or represented by the character and culture of the company's work.

"The health facilities and services received by PT Timah Tbk employees as BPJS Kesehatan participants are in accordance with their respective membership classes and there is no difference," he said.

This state-owned mining sector will take action against employees who have insulted the honorary workers using BPJS according to the regulations in force in the company.

"In the future, PT Timah Tbk will continue to transform, make improvements, especially education and internalization to all employees and extended families of PT Timah Tbk to be wise in social media, and avoid actions that can harm themselves and the Company," explained PT Timah.

It is known, in a video uploaded to his personal TikTok account, @wennymyzon1, DCW insults honorary employees who seek treatment at the hospital using BPJS Kesehatan.

DCW then compared with himself. While showing off the PT Timah logo on his uniform, DCW said he was a priority patient and did not need to queue for treatment.

After the crowd on social media, DCW made an apology video. He claims the content of ridicule in his video is purely a personal point of view that has nothing to do with the company he works for.

"The content on my account is pure POV, it is my own point of view that has nothing to do with the company I work for because it is my own personal account," he explained.
