Still Pre-booking, Geely EX5 Price Will Be Announced At IIMS 2025

JAKARTA - The well-known automotive manufacturer from China, Geely officially marks his return to the Indonesian automotive market by introducing EX5 as its first EV product in the country.

Not only that, the automaker also announced pre-order for the Geely EX5 model at a price of only IDR 10,000 until February 12. This includes insurance costs for one year worth IDR 10 million.

Geely Auto Indonesia Brand Director Yusuf Anshori said his party would announce the price of EX5 at the upcoming Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025 which will take place from February 13 to February 23.

"We will announce the price of EX5 on IIMS later," said Anshori when answering media questions in Thamrin, Jakarta, Thursday, January 23.

Anshori also said that his party is still studying the market needs in Indonesia in finding prices and segments suitable for consumers.

"Geeely is currently still studying the mobility needs of the Indonesian people, so it needs to be studied further," Anshori continued.

Regarding models other than EX5, Anshori is still silent about this. However, he ensured that his party would present products that would match the needs of the Indonesian market according to Geely's track record globally.

After the EV, we can't announce it yet. Currently, we are still studying it according to market needs because our products already have models globally," explained Anshori.

The EX5 model is the first EV product introduced by Geely and will be assembled locally (CKD) which will be built at the Bekasi factory, West Java in collaboration with PT Handal Motor Indonesia (HIM).

Geely EX5 is built with the GEA Architecture platform self-developed by this manufacturer. According to Geely's claim, the platform can charge from 30 to 80 percent within 20 minutes of fast-charging.
