JAKARTA - One of the largest automotive manufacturers from China, Geely officially returned to Indonesia after leaving the country in 2016.

In today's introduction, Geely brought her latest electric (EV) model under the name EX5 in the form of a compact SUV offering cutting-edge technology.

Vice President of Geely Auto International, Evin Ye said that her party will open six networks of dealers in Indonesia this year as the company's first step in showing its existence in the country.

Geely also confirmed that she would assemble the EX5 electric model locally (CKD) through an assembly line in Bekasi, West Java in collaboration with PT Handal Motor Indonesia (HIM).

Geely EX5 is built with the GEA Architecture platform self-developed by this manufacturer. According to Geely's claim, the platform can charge from 30 to 80 percent within 20 minutes of fast-charging.

In addition, Geely also decided to present more choices of vehicles consisting of ICE, PHEV, and BEV with 5-SEATER configurations to 7-SEATERs.
