Jaecool Will Bring J5 BEV To Indonesia In Semester 2 This Year

JAKARTA - An automotive brand from China, Jaecool, has officially shown its existence in the environmentally friendly vehicle industry in Indonesia by introducing J7 SHS as the first product.

The brand under the auspices of Chery International will provide the J7 model in two variants namely SHS in the Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) drive and the pure combustion engine (ICE).

Although they have only introduced one model, the manufacturer intends to launch more models into the Indonesian market which consists of many driving options.

Jaecool Indonesia's Head of Dealer Networking Development, Setia Hariadi, said that his party plans to launch at least six models into the country's market.

"Planning for this year we will bring six models brought to Indonesia," said Hariadi during Jaecool's introduction to Indonesia at SCBD, Jakarta, Monday, January 20.

Furthermore, Jaecool Indonesia Head of Product Ryan Ferdian Tirto added that he would bring the Battery Electric Vehicle line in the archipelago by introducing J5 in the second half of this year.

"Soon, we will launch the latest model for Indonesia including in the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) segment. One of the models we will launch is Jaecool J5 which will be present in the second half of this year," explained Tirto.

Tirto also added that Jaecoo will introduce its newest products consisting of ICE, PHEV, and BEV at least until next year.

"We can make sure Jaecoo will present more models consisting of ICE, PHEV, and BEV until next year or the end of this year," explained Tirto.

Jaecool J5 EV has not been launched globally and will launch this year. The model will be offered as a small electric model and positioned under the soon-to-go J6.

In the global market, J5 will be launched in pure Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) drivers. The images in circulation show the design will emulate the J7 model with more compact dimensions.
