The National Working Meeting Of PP Pordasi Pacu Is Expected To Advance Pacu Horse Sports

JAKARTA - The Central Board of the Indonesian Pacu Equestrian Sports Association (PP Pordasi Pacu) held a National Working Meeting (Rakernas) for two days, Saturday-Sunday, February 1-2, 2025, at the Bell's Place Hotel and Rooftop Restaurant in Sentul area, Bogor Regency, West Java.

The National Working Meeting was carried out in a hybrid manner and was attended by 12 Provincial Managers (Pengprov). Representatives of the Provincial Government who attended offline were the Bali Provincial Government, West Sumatra, Gorontalo, North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, and South Papua. Meanwhile, other provincial leaders attended online.

As many as 20 central administrators also attended the 2025 Hybrid National Working Meeting of PP Pordasi Pacu.

As the leader of the National Working Meeting, Drs. Teddy Soediro, who serves as General Chair, Eddy Wijaya, who serves as Daily Chair, H. Gusrial., Bsc who serves as Deputy Chairman 3, and Ir. MT. Prasetyo Oedjiantono MSCE who serves as General Secretary.

In the National Working Meeting, 16 hearings were held which resulted in a number of important decisions.

"We will have a local racehorse match in NTB for the first time," said Gusrial, Deputy Chair 3 who became chairman of the Steering Committee for the 2025 PP Hybrid National Working Meeting Pordasi Pacu.

In addition, one of the important work programs is to make efforts to make traditional racehorses develop.

"We hope that local horses can become a new trend and continue to develop traditional horse racing so that they are better known and promote equestrian sports in Indonesia," said Eddy Wijaya, Daily Chair of PP Pordasi Pacu.

"In traditional horse racing, jockeys use the attributes of each region so that they become the hallmark of traditional horse racing," added Director of Traditional Pacu, Irfan Melayu.

Apart from Pordasi Pacu, in separate places, a National Working Meeting was also carried out from the Equesterian Pordasi, Pordasi Berdagang Memah, and Pordasi Polo which was opened by the General Chairperson of the Central National Sports Committee (KONI) Lt. Gen. Retired TNI. Marciano Norman on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

Marciano gave appreciation to the four national federations, both PP Pordasi Pacu, PP Pordasi Equestrian, PP Pordasi Berdagang Memana and PP Pordasi Polo which are compact and solid capable of holding the opening of the National Working Meeting together in one moment, but the next agenda is to develop a work program to be continued respectively. Specifically for PP Pordasi Polo, the National Working Meeting will be held on February 5, 2025.

On this occasion, the Head of the Central KONI conveyed a message to focus on fostering equestrian sports in the country by paying attention and taking advantage of local horses.

"The XXII National Sports Week (PON) 2028 will be held in NTB and NTT. Both have potential because they have many local horses. I hope that all Pordasi Management, both Pacu, Equestrian, Equestrian, Archery Equestrian, and Polo pick up the ball downwards to encourage NTB and NTT to hold equestrian competitions," Marciano said in a virtual direction.
