Man Shot Dead In Mawar Market, Bogor, Police Investigate Motives And Perpetrators

BOGOR A man with the initials E alias TH (45) was found dead with gunshot wounds to his chest and stomach in the Mawar Market area, Bogor City, on Monday, February 3 in the morning. The victim is suspected of being the target of the shooting by an unknown group of people.

Currently, the Bogor City Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) is conducting an investigation to reveal the motive and hunt down the perpetrators.

An atmosphere of grief enveloped the victim's family at the Sinar Kasih funeral home, Bogor City. The victim's brother, Erwin Bastian, admitted that he did not know the exact chronology of the incident. However, based on the information he received, his sister was shot by a group of people while in Mawar Market.

"We hope that this incident will be revealed soon and the perpetrators will be arrested because they have disturbed the people of Bogor City," said Erwin.

In addition, he also expressed his concern over the rampant circulation of illegal firearms. "We hope that the police can thoroughly investigate the circulation of illegal weapons so that there are no other victims," he added.

Based on the information obtained, the victim was initially sitting around the scene when a group of people came in a vehicle and immediately attacked him. Until now, the motive behind the shooting is still under investigation.

Kasatreskrim Bogor City Police, AKP Aji Riznaldi, revealed that his party had processed the crime scene (TKP) and secured several pieces of evidence, including two 9 mm caliber bullet casings.

"The victim allegedly had a disagreement with someone at Mawar Market before the incident. Currently, we have examined five witnesses and will continue to explore this case," he explained.

The police appealed to the public to remain vigilant and immediately report any information that could help uncover this case.
