The Katulampa Dam TMA Is Normal When The Weather In Bogor Is Consistent All Day

BOGOR CITY - The water level (TMA) of Katulampa Dam, Bogor City, West Java, has a normal status in the range of 30-40 centimeters when the weather conditions in the area are cloudy all day, on Saturday.

The executor of Katulampa Dam Andi Sudirman in Bogor City, Friday, said that from morning to evening the runoff discharge at the dam was in the range of 11,000 liters per second.

"The water level is 30 centimeters with normal status," said Andi.

Cloudy weather occurred in the Bogor area and its surroundings from morning to evening. There were several times of light rain, but in just a matter of minutes.

Andi explained that the Katulampa Dam TMA was in normal condition after briefly rising to 110 centimeters or standby status 3 on Tuesday (28/1) because at that time the Puncak area, Bogor Regency, which was the upstream area of the Ciliwung River, was raining heavily.

The reason is, there has been a natural disaster of flash floods on Tuesday (28/1) evening due to the overflow of the Ciliwung River which affected five housing units in Tugu Selatan Village, Cisarua.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has previously warned of the potential for extreme weather in West Java, including Bogor Regency, in the next few days.
