Visiting Muara Enim South Sumatra, Puan Maharani Visits The Tomb Of Ancestors

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani Nakshatra Kusyala Devi, made a pilgrimage to her ancestral grave in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra, taking advantage of the momentum of the commemoration of the commemoration of Isra Mi'raj, Prophet Muhammad SAW on Monday.

Puan Maharani pilgrimage to the graves of her ancestors (puyang) Sheikh Ibrahim Papa (Syekh Anakse) Ramatuan in Tanjung Raman Village, Ujan Mas District, Muara Enim Regency, with her husband and children and staff.

Then accompanied by a member of the Indonesian Parliament in the South Sumatra electoral district, Giri Ramanda Kiemas, who is a cousin of Puan Maharani and a large family of Puyang Syekh Ibrahim Papa.

The women's group of the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarno Putri was welcomed by the Acting (Pj) Regent of Muara Enim Henky Putrawan, Deputy Chairperson of the Muara DPRD Enim Liono Basuki, Muara Enim Forkopimda, and related officials, as well as thousands of local residents.

With a fairly tight escort from the security forces, Puan and her entourage entered the cemetery area of her ancestors and made a solemn pilgrimage.

After the pilgrimage, Puan and her entourage rested and had lunch at her grandfather's house, the late Major Cik Agus, who is the father of the late Taufik Kiemas, Megawati Soekarno Putri's husband.

Puan Maharani on that occasion said that she had not returned to her late father's village for a dozen years and made a pilgrimage to ancestral graves in Muara Enim Regency.

"This momentum for the Isra Mi'raj holiday, I and my family have the opportunity to return to their hometowns, stay in touch and make pilgrimages to ancestral graves in Tanjung Raman Village, Muara Enim. Thank God, everything is still warm to welcome me," said the chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, as quoted from ANTARA.
