Floods On 20 Sections Of Jalan Jakarta Utara Surut, Some Areas Are Still Inundated

JAKARTA The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported that the floods that had inundated 20 roads in North Jakarta had receded on Wednesday night at around 22.00 WIB.

Some of the sections that are now flood-free include Jalan Mangga, Jalan Keramat Raya, Jalan Komplek Uka, Jalan Bhayangkara, and Jalan Kramat Jaya Raya in Koja.

In addition, puddles also disappeared on Jalan Yos Sudarso Raya, Jalan Gaya Motor 1 (River Bambu), and Jalan RE Martadinata in Tanjung Priok.

In Kelapa Gading District, the flood receded on Jalan Boulevard Raya, Jalan Kelapa Hybrida Raya, and several other points.

However, some locations are still inundated, such as Jalan Muara Baru in front of Pluit Selatan View, Penjaringan, with a water level of about 20 cm.

In addition, the flood still submerged four RTs in North Jakarta 'one RT in Rorotan and three RTs in Semper Barat' with a water level of 40'55 cm.

As many as 500 people from 169 families took refuge in the Cilincing BCC Depot. BPBD has distributed aid in the form of mineral water, ready-to-eat food, blankets, clothes, sarongs, tarpaulins, as well as family and children's equipment.

BPBD together with the Water Resources Service, the Highways Office, and the Gulkarmat Service continue to strive to accelerate the reduction of floods by extracting water and ensuring that drainage channels function optimally.

"Efforts to accelerate continue to be carried out so that conditions return to normal as soon as possible," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Data and Information Center, Mohamad Yohan.
