Achieve Tenth Grammys, Norah Jones: Thank You Still Listening

JAKARTA - Norah Jones won the tenth Grammy throughout his music career. He came out victorious in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album category, through a studio album titled Visions.

In his winning speech, Jones expressed his gratitude to the people involved in the work on his ninth album. He also thanked fans who are still listening to his music to date.

"Thank you to everyone who supported me, in my entire life and my career. And thank you to the fans who are still listening to (my music). I am very grateful," said Norah Jones.

At the age of 45, Jones finds this award hard to believe. He also said how the music industry is not something easy.

I just feel very happy because people are still listening to (my music). And you know, this business can be very difficult, and it won't be easy, because I'm getting older. I just feel happy," said Jones, during a backstage interview.

When asked how he felt this time compared to his first Grammy in 2003, Jones clearly called this award much more meaningful.

"(The first grium) It was 22 years ago, but it feels very special, I appreciate it more, because at that time I was young and didn't know anything," he said.

Norah Jones is a phenomenon in the early 2000s. His debut album, Come Away With Me (2002) with the main single titled Don't Know Why, took him to five Grammys in his debut year.

At the 2003 Grammy Awards, Jones won in the Best New Artist category, Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Record of the Year, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

Two years later, Jones won in the Record of the Year category and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocal through the song 'Here We Go Again' (ft. Ray Charles), as well as the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance category through the song Sunrise.

Then, at the 2008 Grammy Awards, Jones, who collaborated with jazz maestro total Hancock on the album River: The Joni Letters, won in the Album of the Year category.

Between 2010-2023, Jones was five times nominated in several categories, but none made him come home with the Grammys, until finally the award came this year.
