Official Agent Suspects There Is A Game Behind The Scarcity Of 3 Kilogram LPG

JAKARTA - The official LPG agent in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta suspects that there is a game behind the scarcity of three kilograms of subsidized gas cylinders that is troubling the public.

"Maybe there is a new mechanism, but so that it is not too rushed, detained first so that we are ready from us," he said.

Therefore, according to him, the government needs to deploy officers so that they can see conditions in the field so that the distribution of LPG gas is right on target.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Heppy Wulansari stated that so far there has been no policy of limiting purchases from the government. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, which has a policy of regulating the distribution of LPG.

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga appealed to the public to buy 3 kg LPG directly to the official base to get a selling price that is in accordance with the highest retail price (HET), as determined by each local government.

Starting Saturday, February 1, the government is implementing a new policy to ensure that the distribution of energy subsidies is more targeted.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) confirmed that starting that from that day, Pertamina's official agents were no longer allowed to sell three kilograms of LPG (kg) to retailers.

A three-kilogram subsidized LPG retailer is required to register to become a commodity base for Pertamina products.
