The Budget Of The Ministry Of Public Works Is Cut By IDR 81 Trillion, Deputy Minister Of Public Works Calls Road Development To Hampered Dams

Deputy Minister of Public Works (PU) Diana Kusumastuti emphasized that the Ministry of Public Works was also affected by budget efficiency of around Rp. 81 trillion in 2025.

As for information in the 2025 fiscal year, the Ministry of Public Works budget ceiling is set at IDR 110.95 trillion.

According to him, the budget efficiency came from the policy of efficiency in the 2025 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) which was instructed by President Prabowo Subianto.

"As much as 80 percent means around Rp. 81 trillion, yes. From the budget, it will be cut to Rp. 81 trillion," Diana told the media crew at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Friday, January 31.

Diana explained that budget efficiency does not include for Employee Expenditures, Use of Foreign Loans and Grants (PHLN), Foreign Grants (HLN) and State Sharia Securities (SBSN) are confirmed to continue.

"The other operations are 50 percent, the infrastructure is only 24 percent," he said.

With this budget efficiency, Diana emphasized, various development projects will be slightly disrupted.

"Of course it is disturbed (with the efficiency of the budget)," he said.

Diana explained that disrupted projects such as road construction, dams to irrigation and currently her party is still determining what projects are prioritized for construction.

"Yes, maybe everything is yes, not only the roads are disturbed, the dams are disturbed, the irrigation is disturbed, the buildings are also disrupted. We have to share which ones we choose to prioritize because those who have to run are HLN because they have committed, then SBSN has also committed, so if that can't be disturbed," he said.
