In Order For Homecoming To Run Smoothly, Deputy Minister Of Public Works Asks For D-15 Lebaran No More Repairs On Toll Roads

Deputy Minister of Public Works (PU) Diana Kusumastuti asked all Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) to immediately prioritize toll roads related to readiness to face the 2025 Eid homecoming flow.

"After this 5-day holiday, starting tomorrow until Eid, we still have 1.5 months because starting from D-15 Eid there should no construction work. I remind you that repairs will continue to be carried out periodically and there will be holes. Later, the rainfall will not be too high, meaning that the road is safe from water and holes," Diana said in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Friday, January 31.

He explained that one of the causes of damage such as road holes was extreme rainfall at the end and beginning of the year.

"Water is the main enemy of the road. However, we emphasize to the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) to immediately make repairs," he said.

Improvements are made both periodically and bycall at each hole point. In addition, Diana also asked BUJT to increase the number of inspection teams to speed up repairs.

Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo immediately coordinated with the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi regarding infrastructure preparations to support this year's Eid holiday.

One of the suggestions from the Minister of Transportation, he said, was related to infrastructure preparation for Eid regarding the road improvement plan leading to Merak Port, Banten.

In addition, Dody also said that there will be new functional roads that need to be prepared to support this year's Eid holiday period.

Meanwhile, Commission V of the DPR asked the Ministry of Public Works together with all toll road operators to make improvements to support the implementation of upcoming homecoming transportation, including ensuring the fulfillment of Toll Road Minimum Service Standards (SPM), especially related to road conditions, safety and security infrastructure, as well as service support infrastructure for toll road users.

Then evaluate the Emergency Termination Line (JPD) available on toll roads. Then identify congestion points on national roads and toll roads.
