PT Hutama Karya (Persero) said that the Sigli-Banda Aceh (Sibanceh) toll road was passed by 20,082 vehicles during the long Isra Miraj and Chinese New Year 2025 holidays on January 24-27, 2025.

Executive Vice President (EVP) of the Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya, Adjib Al Hakim, in Banda Aceh, Wednesday, January 29, said the number of vehicles during this holiday increased by 51.30 percent compared to normal daily traffic.

"This spike indicates the high mobility of the community, especially for tourism purposes and other activities in Aceh," said Adjib Al Hakim, quoted by Antara.

Based on the data collected, the number of vehicles passing on Friday (24/1) reached 3,930 units, then increased to 5,756 vehicles on Saturday (25/1).

The peak traffic flow occurred on Sunday (26/1), reaching 5,781 vehicles, and again sloping to 4,615 vehicles on Monday (27/1).

He conveyed that Hutama Karya as the manager of the toll road is still operating five sections of the Sibanceh Toll Road, namely section 2 Seulimeum-Jantho (6.35 km), section 3 Jantho-Indrapuri (16 km).

Then, section 4 Indrapuri-Blang Bintang (13.5 km), section 5 Blang Bintang-Kuta Baro (7.7 km), and section 6 Kuta Baro-Baitussalam (5 km).

As for the toll gate to Padang Tiji, said Adjib, it was not opened during this long holiday considering that its functional operations had ended since early January 2025 and were also still in the construction stage.

"The toll road to Padang Tiji has been closed again since the end of its operational period, and is currently still in the process of being refined," he said.

In addition, he added, for the Binjai-Langsa Toll Road, the Tanjung Pura-Pangkalan Brandan section has been completed 100 percent. However, it still cannot be opened because it is waiting for an operating permit from the minister.

"Currently, we are still waiting for a certificate like an operation (SLO) as well as a ministerial decision (Kepmen) for operations so that they can operate immediately," said Adjib Al Hakim.
