West Bangka Police Arrest Hoarder Of Pertalite 1.8 Tons

West Bangka Resort Police, Bangka Belitung Islands arrested a perpetrator of hoarding Pertalite type fuel oil with 1.84 tons of evidence.

"The perpetrator with the initials KA, who has the status of a profession as a casual daily worker, was arrested by West Bangka Police Criminal Investigation Unit personnel for hoarding and abusing Pertalite," said West Bangka Police Public Relations Section Head Ipda Ardianis in Mentok, Friday, January 24, as reported by ANTARA.

The arrest of the perpetrator began with information obtained by officers on Thursday (23/1) at around 06.00 WIB which stated that there was an alleged misuse of pertalite type fuel in Simpangtiga Village, Simpangteritip District.

From this information, members of Unit II of the Criminal Investigation Unit visited the location mentioned and found a unit of a gray pickup truck carrying 92 jerry cans of Pertalite.

"Each jerry can contains 20 liters," he said.

Finding a vehicle with the perpetrator, the police immediately carried out security and asked for information on the perpetrator of the origin and purpose of carrying the fuel.

According to the perpetrator's statement, the fuel belongs to him and will be taken to be sold at a shop located at Simpangtiga Village at a price of Rp220,000/jerry can.

The police then asked for a permit for the transportation and sale of the Pertalite type of fuel, but the perpetrator could not show a permit from the authorities.

Then the perpetrator and the evidence of fuel were brought to the West Bangka Police Headquarters for further investigation.

The confiscated evidence, namely 92 jerry cans containing 20 liters of pertalite each, one unit of a pickup truck along with a STNK, and three plastic funnels.
