Megawati Becomes MVP as Red Sparks Thrash Hillstate

JAKARTA Megawati Hanggetri Pertiwi again received the status of Most Valuable Player (MVP) when Red fire won over Hillstate in the 2025 V-League continuation.

The fight between the two teams took place at the Suwon Gamesium, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, evening. In that duel, Redmen won dramatically 3-2 (21-25, 29-27, 23-25, 25-18, and 15-13).

Megawati again showed the quality of the clashes. The player from Jember managed to come out as the top scorer by scoring 38 points for his team.

Ten points of that number he scored in the determination set. As a result, he took the lead over Vanja Bukilic who scored 31 points and Laetitia Moma who posted 29 points.

This contribution made the 25-year-old volleyball player named the best player in the match, a status he has often earned in South Korea's highest-level league.

Thanks to the additional 38 points, Megawati is now in the top three of the league's top score list. The player nicknamed Megatron has recorded a total of 538 points this season.

He is behind Victoria Danchak (IBK Altos) who ranks first with a collection of 569 points and Gyselle Silva (GS Caltex) in second place with 545 points.

This is the 12th consecutive victory secured by Redmen. They have been unbeaten since the last defeat against the Al Peppers in November 2024.

Redmen are still in third place in the V-League standings with a collection of 43 points. The two places ahead of them were filled by Pink Spiders (50 points) at number one and Hillstate (47 points) in second place.
