Assistant Coach Of The National Team Denny Landzaat Returns To Indonesia, Ready To Monitor League 1

JAKARTA The assistant coach of the Indonesian national team, Denny Landzaat, has returned to the country to carry out his duties. He showed high enthusiasm on his way and was ready to monitor players in the League 1 competition.

Landzaat is one of the three assistant coaches of the Indonesian national team under the direction of Patrick Kluivert. He will work closely with Alex Pastoor and Gerald Vanenburg in developing the team.

Prior to the arrival of Landzaat, Alex Pastoor first arrived in Indonesia on Saturday. Not long after, Landzaat followed on the same flight as Kluivert and Vanenburg.

Through his personal social media account, Landzaat shared the moments of his trip to Indonesia, including views from the plane and videos when he arrived in Jakarta.

"A fun flight and happy to be back! Excited for the next expedition in Jakarta," he wrote, quoted on Sunday, February 2.

This is not the first time Landzaat has set foot in Indonesia. In January, he was introduced as part of the Indonesian national team coach team with Kluivert and Pastoor.

Now, Kluivert and his assistant team are returning to Indonesia to start working, including monitoring League 1 matches to find potential players.

PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir previously mentioned that one of the matches that will be monitored by Kluiver, Landzaat, Pastoor, and Vanenburg is the duel between Dewa United and Persija Jakarta.

"If I'm not mistaken, on February 8, 2025, there was Dewa United versus Persija, where five Indonesian national team players were there. Three Persija players and two Dewa United players. This was monitored directly and at the same time saw infrastructure and other potential players," said Erick.

In that match, several Indonesian national team players who will appear include Rizky Ridho, Witan Sulaeman, and Muhammad Ferarri (Persija Jakarta), as well as Egy Maulana Vikri and Ricky Kambuaya (Dewa United).

Previously, Kluivert had also met directly with the five players during dinner after his introduction as the new coach of the Indonesian national team in January.

Kluivert and his team will make their official debut in leading the Indonesian national team at the 2026 World Cup Qualification event. The Garuda squad is scheduled to face Australia on March 20, 2025 in Sydney, before hosting Bahrain in Jakarta five days later.
