JAKARTA Hendra Setiawan gave a response regarding the special tribute that PBSI will prepare for his separation from Mohammad Ahsan.

Hendra/Ahsan have confirmed that they will retire from badminton. Indonesia Masters 2025 this week will be their last tournament.

"It must be nice to have a tribute for us. I would like to thank the Indonesian Masters, PBSI, my club Jaya Raya and PB Djarum committees," said Hendra.

PBSI will prepare a series of farewells with Hendra/Ahsan before the final of the Indonesia Masters 2025 on Sunday, January 26, 2025.

The event will feature exhibition matches as well as a number of other events. However, PBSI did not detail because it wanted to make a surprise.

The chairman of the 2025 Indonesia Masters Implementing Committee, Armand Darmadji, confirmed that the event would be lively in honor of the legendary couple.

"For the event, frankly there must be exhibitions. We have also not conveyed it to Hendra for event activities. There must be interesting exhibitions that can be witnessed by all badminton lovers," he said.

Hendra/Ahsan are one of the legendary Indonesian pairs. They were recorded as having won the world three times, namely in 2013, 2015, and 2019.

Hendra reached the peak of his career by winning a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the men's doubles with the late Markis Kido.
