Bareskrim Unloads 4 Cases Of Smuggling That Lose Rp64 Billion To The State, Starting From Steel-Tali Cigarettes

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police revealed four cases of illegal imports such as steel to cigarettes in several areas within four months. The case is said to have caused state losses of Rp64 billion.

"During the last four months, Tipideksus through the Illegal Importation Supervision Task Force succeeded in disclosing in the DKI Province, Banten Province, West Java, with a value of approximately Rp. 51,230,400,000, with a total state loss value because this crime reached Rp. 64,257,680,000," said Bareskrim Polri Special Economic Crime Recruitment (Tipideksus), Brigadier General Helfi Assegaf to reporters, Tuesday, February 4.

The first case is the importation of steel ropes carried out by PT Nobel Riggindo Samudra in the Delta Silicon II area, Jalan Karet IV, Cibatu, South Cikarang Village, Bekasi Regency, West Java Province.

In this case, investigators named RH as the President Director of PT Nobel Riggindo Samudra as a suspect.

"PT NRS imports steel wire lines from South Korea, Portugal, India and Singapore, as well as purchases from several domestic companies by changing the tariff post number or HS code on the notification document for imports of goods or PIB," he said.

"From what he should have been, steel wire turned into small rods to avoid registering mandatory SNI goods and not to pay entry fees for PPH, VAT, and DM," continued Helfi.

The second case is the smuggling of cigarettes in the Kelederan Village area, Serang City, Banten. In this case, the police named BEJ from CV CTA as a suspect.

The mode used by the suspect in this case is to use excise stamps that do not match their designation.

"Pita tanda peluasan sigaret keretek tangan atau SKT dengan pendiri 10 batang atau 12 batang ditampakkan pada sigaret keretek mesin dengan pendiri 20 batu. Cigarette-rokok yang ditemukan di lokasi per warehan dijual kepada masyarakat sebesar-halah band excisenya sudah dibayar dan seolah-olah yang didisirkan atau diketakkan band excise adalah legal," ungkap Helfi.

Furthermore, the case of smuggling electronic goods that occurred in the Cikupa area, Tangerang. The mode used is not using SNI standardization.

Electronic goods are sold online. In fact, at a cheaper price when compared to others.

The last case of smuggling vehicle parts that occurred in Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta. A Chinese citizen with the initials VV (30) is the mastermind behind the case.

This is because the Chinese citizen sent spare parts that did not match the specifications according to the orders that had been agreed upon. Currently, foreign nationals are being hunted for their benefit.

"We have been tracking for several months and we will continue to coordinate with the Director General of Immigration for the profiling of the person concerned," said Helfi.
