BMKG Forecasts Most Of Indonesia Light Rain This Wednesday

JAKARTA - The weather in most areas in Indonesia is predicted by the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) to have the potential to rain with light intensity this Wednesday.

"Today the weather in the cities of Banda Aceh, Padang, Pekanbaru, and Tanjung Pinang is forecasted to be thick cloudy," said forecaster Azhari Putri on the BMKG Youtube channel, in Jakarta, quoted from ANTARA.

Rain with moderate intensity is forecast in Medan City.

Light rain has the potential to occur in Jambi, Palembang, Pangkalpinang, and Bandarlampung cities.

The public is asked to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in Bengkulu City.

"On the island of Java, the weather in Serang City is forecasted to be thick cloudy," said the forecaster.

Light rain is predicted to occur in the cities of Jakarta, Bandung, and Yogyakarta.

Then rain accompanied by lightning has the potential to occur in the cities of Semarang and Surabaya.

"Starting to the regions of Bali and Nusa Tenggara, light rain is predicted to occur in Denpasar and Mataram cities," he said.

The public is asked to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in Kupang City.

"In the Kalimantan region, light rain is predicted to occur in Pontianak City," he said.

BMKG predicts rainy weather accompanied by lightning in the cities of Banjarmasin, Palangka Raya, Samarinda, and Tanjung Selor.

"Furthermore, it shifts to the Sulawesi region, rain with light intensity is expected to occur in Kendari, Palu, Gorontalo, and Manado cities," he said.

Meanwhile, rain with moderate intensity is predicted to occur in Makassar City.

The public is asked to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in Mamuju City.

"Starting to eastern Indonesia, the weather in Ternate and Manokwari cities is forecasted to be thick cloudy today," he said.

Rainy weather with light intensity is predicted to occur in Ambon, Sorong, and Jayapura cities.

Meanwhile, moderate-intensity rain is expected to occur in Nabire, Jayawijaya, and Merauke cities.
