In The Past, The Father Wanted Oshima Yukari To Be A Policewoman, But Now He Is Missing When Glodok Plaza Burns

JAKARTA - Edi Sunarsono (68), the father of Oshima Yukari, a BBN Airlines flight attendant who went missing at Glodok Plaza at the time of the fire, explained that his daughter had high body characteristics and beautiful face. Because of that, his father had always wanted his daughter to become a policewoman (women police).

However, Oshima Yukari's wish is different from his father's expectation. Oshima, who is said to have a tall body with a beautiful face, is more interested in being a flight attendant.

Pak Edi said, his father, his daughter had worked as a flight attendant at a number of airlines such as Batik Air, Lion Air, Air Asia, and currently at BBN Airlines.

Edi revealed that at that time he wanted his son to be active in the police force, by becoming a policewoman. But the child prefers to be a flight attendant.

"In the past, my plan was not to (enter) the policewomen, but my son was happy with the flight attendants. So the direction was to go to the flight attendants, please (please). The mother of Ms. Mompu supports, then encourages, please. I follow, I mean as a father, right," he said.

When telling his daughter, the look on his father's face looked so sad, restless because he wanted to confirm whether Oshima Yukari was among the body bags brought from Glodok Plaza to the Police Hospital.

Oshima Yukari is reported missing, the BBN Airlines flight attendant who was a model in Central Java is reportedly celebrating his friend's birthday at Glodok Plaza, Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

"Incidentally, yesterday it was his friend's birthday. (Oshima Yukari) is still active, still active (as a flight attendant). His flight attendant's friend is a birthday, he was invited," Edi told reporters at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta, Friday, January 17.

Edi said he was surprised when he found out that the list of missing people had the name of his daughter, namely Oshima Yukari.

"Thursday afternoon I was surprised on the list that there was an OY name. I was surprised, I made sure I came here to the hospital, he said there were many bodies that could not be recognized. This is because many cannot be recognized automatically, DNA tests," he said.

Edi hopes to find out about Oshima Yukari's whereabouts in a short time.
