PURBALINGGA - Regional Secretary (Sekda) Purbalingga Herni Sulasti reminded all state civil servants (ASN) within the Purbalingga Regency Government, Central Java, not to become provocateurs who made the situation even more crowded with viral news. "So, as ASN when there is news that goes viral, ladies and gentlemen should not join forces that have the potential to become divisions. Ladies and gentlemen have an obligation to unite the nation," he said in Purbalingga, quoted from Antara, Thursday, July 13. The Regional Secretary said this at the inauguration ceremony and taking the oath/promise of functional officials in the Purbalingga Regency Government which was held at the Dipokusumo Hall, Purbalingga. He also appealed to functional officials who had just been inaugurated not to be easily provoked by emotions in carrying out their service functions. "Person yourself as a servant, not to be served," he explained. He said the other ASN duties were as implementers of public policy, so no ASN should be against government policies. In addition, he said, ASN also served as the glue and unifier of the nation. Regarding the inauguration of the functional official, the Regional Secretary acknowledged that there was simplification in the structure by increasing the number of functional positions According to him, the simplification of the bureaucracy is carried out to make it more agile and not too fat in the structural. "Financial officials are not divided into boxes per field, so that all of them can be deployed to work on something that is a priority in the OPD (regional apparatus organization)," he said. In this case, he said, the 391 functional officials who were inaugurated consisted of 384 functional officers for the appointment of the first teacher, 5 transfers of positions, and 2 ASN government employees with a doctor's work agreement (PPPK). According to him, there were 4 ASNs who should have been inaugurated but were not present, including for reasons of marriage, illness, being out of town, and 1 person would stop (resign).

"Those who are unable to attend will still have to be inaugurated so that their rights and obligations as functional officials can be fulfilled, unless perhaps they will resign," said the Regional Secretary.
