BMW Introduces M3 CS Touring, Highest Variant With More Performance

JAKARTA - BMW has officially increased its ranks from the BMW M division by introducing M3 CS Touring. It is said that the car is the top variant of the current M3 family version of the wagon.

Launching from the BMW Group page, Friday, January 31, the front of the car has a minimalist and frameless BMW M-type kidney grip.

The article from 'M3 CS' on this car is colored in black with a red line edge which gives an aggressive touch and the presence of exclusive badges on the front and back.

Because this car is focused on performance, the German manufacturer designed M3 CS Touring to be more sporting with sharper LED headlights and the presence of typical yellow light like the one in GT racing cars.

Just like other BMW M high-performance cars, M3 CS Touring carries the extensive use of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CRFP) which is important in efforts to minimize weight.

The material is applied to several elements of this model, ranging from the hood of the car, front splitters, front-hand intake water, outer rear-view mirror coatings, to back-off diffusers.

This car also has an electrically controllable M Suspension damping system assisted by M Servotronic and an integrated braking system.

Despite being designed for performance, BMW did not leave any usability on this car with a rear trunk expansion from 500 liters to 1,510 liters. In addition, the lines of the Touring model are seen to stretch dynamically and specifically created exterior details of M to suit the technical needs of cooling air supply and aerodynamic equilibrium.

The interior shows a control screen of 14.9 inches that has information settings on vehicles, tire pressure, and temperature. This is coupled to a special M screen on a 12.3-inch information display showing M Shift Lights at the top edge, while the status of the driving stability system, M xDrive, and traction control can be found at the bottom edge of the screen.

The interior is equipped with a bucket seat M Carbon which is electrically tunable and heating with a head backgar bearing the 'CS' logo with a surface of Merino skin.

The steering wheel itself is made of the Alcantara layer with a triple bar pattern with flat-bottomed and the top marked in red.

Speaking of performance, BMW M3 CS Touring has an arbitrary 3.0 liter 6-cylinder engine designed for high performance on race tracks. The manufacturer claims, this car has 550 hp of power or 20 hp higher than the Competition Touring version.

Thus, this wagon sporty car has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 3.5 seconds and 0 to 200 km/hour reaching 11.7 seconds. BMW M3 CS Touring can also speed up at the highest speed of up to 300 km/hour accompanied by M Driver Package.

BMW M3 CS Touring will begin marketing in March 2025 and will target several areas such as Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and others.
