Minister Of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi Says Retreat Regional Heads Will Use The State Budget

JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg), Prasetyo Hadi, ensured that the plan for briefing or treatment of regional heads would use the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).

Hadi said the briefing plan would no longer use President Prabowo Subianto's personal budget, such as during the Red and White Cabinet treatment on October 24-27, 2024.

"(The budget will be) from the government," said Prasetyo when met by reporters at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Saturday, February 1, 2025.

Prasetyo assessed that the allocation from the APBN would not interfere with the efficiency of the budget in ministries/agencies of the state. According to him, this regional head treatment is an important thing to do in order to synchronize the central government with local governments.

"Efficiency (budget) does not mean it is also an activity that is indeed important, it is necessary. Then it is not implemented, it is not like that either."

"Well, we feel that the retreat is very important. This is a simultaneous regional election, we hope that the inauguration will be held simultaneously," said Prasetyo.

"We want to unite, here, between the central government and the provincial and district governments," he continued.

He also could not provide further information on how much budget would be allocated for this activity. According to him, this has become the domain of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).

"Not yet (there is a budget allocation). That's in the Minister of Home Affairs," he said.

Previously, the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri), Bima Arya Sugiarto, said regional heads would take part in the treatment after a week they were sworn in. Activities will start early next week.

"Most likely (retreatment of regional heads) in Magelang. Maybe about a week after the inauguration," Bima told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 23, 2025.

The retreat, continued Bima, will be carried out for more than a week. The KPK will later be involved to be a material filler.

"It is certain that the material will be later, one of which is the eradication of corruption from KPK friends," he said.
