KAI Records 37,579 KAI Passengers Arriving In Jakarta During Isra Mi'raj And Chinese New Year 2025 Holidays

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta noted that 37,579 passengers arrived in Jakarta today, Wednesday, January 29 during the long holiday period of Isra Mi'raj, collective leave, and the 2025 Chinese New Year.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Ixfan Hendriwinto said, actually the peak of backflow during the long holiday period from January 24, 2025 is expected to occur today, Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

He detailed that as many as 37,579 passengers were spread across several stations, including Gambir Station as many as 13,003 passengers, Pasar Senen Station as many as 14,165 passengers, Jatinegara Station, Jakarta City, Bekasi, Cikarang, Karawang, and Cikampek as many as 10,411 passengers.

"In total, during this long holiday period, the volume of passengers arriving at Daop 1 Jakarta stations reached 185,948 passengers, or an average of 30,825 passengers per day," explained Ixfan, Wednesday, January 29.

He continued, the volume of passenger departures from Jakarta today, Wednesday, January 29, 2025, is still relatively high compared to normal days. A total of 26,798 passengers departed with details of Gambir Station as many as 8,136 passengers with 36 KAJJ trips, Pasar Senen Station with 10,950 passengers with 33 KAJJ trips while other stations in the Daop 1 Jakarta area were 7,712 passengers.

Ixfan further added, during the long holiday period January 24, 2025, the number of long-distance train trips (KAJJ) operated was 411 trips, or an average of 69 trips per day. The available seating capacity reaches 222,873 seats (averaging 37,146 per day), with an occupancy rate of 87.8 percent.

"The total ticket sold 195,735 seats with an average of 32,622 per day. Meanwhile, the remaining seats were available on January 29, 2025, with 10,947 seats or 23 percent of the total 37,382 seats," said Ixfan.
