JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) has operated 1,286 kilometers of toll roads until January 2025 to support President Prabowo Subianto's Astacita program and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to accelerate infrastructure development.

These efforts aim to improve connectivity between regions, facilitate logistics distribution, accelerate travel travel time to support the reduction in logistics costs, especially in the Trans Java region.

Inter-regional connectivity has an important role in encouraging national economic growth.

Therefore, Jasa Marga through its subsidiary PT Jasamarga Jogja Solo (JMJ) and PT Jasamarga Probolinggo Banyuwangi (JPB) have prepared a more efficient distribution route for the two regions.

This is realized by the functionalization of the Klaten Segment on the Jogja 'Solo Toll Road and the Gending' Contract Segment on the Probolinggo 'Banyuwangi Toll Road during the Christmas and New Year 2025 (Nataru) period.

Jasa Marga noted an increase in travel time efficiency on this functional route.

The travel time at the Klaten Segment of the Jogja Toll Road 'Solo' Prambatan, which previously took 1.5 hours through national roads, can now be cut to 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, in the Gending 'Corruption of the Probolinggo' Banyuwangi Toll Road, the previously 30-minute travel time through the arterial route can be reduced to just 10 minutes using the functional toll road.

Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana said the two functional toll roads received high enthusiasm from the public when they opened on the 2024/2025 Nataru holiday.

"This functional channel has helped optimize vehicle distribution and facilitate the flow of logistics distribution, especially in the area around Jogja 'Solo' Semarang (Joglosemar) for the Jogja 'Solo Toll Road and in the Pasuruan' Probolinggo area for the Probolinggo 'Banyuwangi Toll Road," Lisye said as quoted from his written statement, Wednesday, January 22.

Lisye added that the realization of traffic volume in the two functional lines shows a positive trend, with significant benefits in the smooth flow of vehicles in their respective regions.

The construction of the Prambanan Klaten Segment on the Jogja 'Solo Toll Road has reached 91.67 percent and is planned to be completed by the end of January 2025.

Meanwhile, the construction of the Gending Segment on the Probolinggo 'Banyuwangi Toll Road has reached 85.97 percent and is targeted for completion in March 2025.
