Malaysian Journalist Attends HPN 2025 In Banjarmasin, ISWAMI Sends Delegation 15 People

JAKARTA - Banjarmasin will host the 2025 National Press Day (HPN) grand event. One of the guests of honor who will attend is a delegation from the Setiakawan Association of Malaysian Journalists Indonesia (ISWAMI). ISWAMI confirmed that it would send 15 delegates who were led directly by the President of ISWAMI, En. Ashwad Ismail.

Representative of ISWAMI Malaysia, Mohd Razman Abdullah expressed his pride in attending this annual press event.

"We, together with journalists from Malaysia, are very proud to attend the Press Day event later. We will go to Banjarmasin on Wednesday or Thursday and hope to contact Mr. Hendry for further coordination," he said in his message to the General Chairperson of the Central PWI, Hendry Ch Bangun in a written statement, Tuesday, February 4.

Razman also revealed that representatives from the Malaysian Ministry were also invited to celebrate the 2025 HPN in Banjarmasin. He revealed that officials, namely deputy ministers, would also attend. "However, until now the official list of names of representatives has not been received," continued Razman.

Hendry Ch welcomed the arrival of the ISWAMI delegation. According to him, the presence of Malaysian journalists in the 2025 HPN shows a close relationship between members of the press of the two countries.

"The Central PWI is happy that Malaysian journalists have consistently come to join HPN. Last year the number was not this big. And PWI also usually attends Malaysian National Journalists' Day as a return visit," said Hendry Ch.

ISWAMI's presence in HPN not only strengthens friendship between journalists, but also becomes a momentum to strengthen cooperation in the media industry between Indonesia and Malaysia. The 2025 HPN in Banjarmasin is also predicted to be an increasingly lively event with the participation of journalists from the neighboring country. Because apart from Malaysia, representatives from the China News Agency, Xin Hua were also present.
