Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Budi Gunawan ensured that the circulation of 3 kg LPG at the central level and retailers would be closely monitored.

"The government listens to the aspirations of the people regarding this policy. Therefore, the government will closely monitor the distribution of 3 kg LPG so that people can still access the appropriate prices and sufficient supplies," Budi said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 4.

According to the man who is familiarly called BG, circulation supervision must be carried out so that this 3 kg LPG gas supply is not restrained so there is no shortage.

In addition to strict supervision from the central level to retailers, Budi ensured that the government would continue to socialize the prohibition to the public so as not to hoard LPG and sell it at a higher price.

If there are 3 kg LPG hoarding efforts in the field, Budi ensures that his party will take legal action.

"We will not tolerate hoarding practices that can harm the community. The government and law enforcement officials will take firm action against those who try to take advantage of this situation for personal gain," he stressed.

On the other hand, Budi acknowledged that the process of monitoring gas circulation in order to prevent hoarding would be quite difficult if it only relied on the authorities.

The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs also invited the public to participate in supervising and reporting if there were indications of the practice of hoarding LPG in the field.

With this policy, it is hoped that the distribution of 3 kg LPG can be more targeted and can be enjoyed by people who are truly entitled.

"The government will continue to coordinate with related parties to ensure this policy runs according to the goals set," said BG.
