Another Bima Flood Victim Found, 5 People Still Missing

Another victim of flash floods and landslides in Wera and Ambalawi sub-districts in Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province was found and five people are still missing.

Head of the Mataram SAR Office, Muhamad Hariyadi, said the third victim who had just been found on behalf of Aisah, a 5-year-old resident of Nangawera Village.

The total number of fatalities that have been found due to flash floods in Bima is three people.

Three fatalities were found dead on behalf of Hermawati (40) from Wora Village, Aisah (5) from Nangawera Village, and Burhan (50), a resident of Nunggi Village. "Until 18.00 WITA, a total of three people have been found," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 3.

Based on the data received, there are still five residents of Kauwu Hamlet, Nangawera Village, who are missing.

"The search is carried out by combing the river flow to the estuary using a rubber boat," he said.

Furthermore, Hariyadi appealed to the public to remain vigilant and follow directions from the authorities.

Separately, the Head of the NTBahsanul Social Service, Khalik, confirmed that another flash flood victim in Bima had been found.

"Yes, it's true on behalf of Aisyah, who is 5 years old," he said.

With the discovery of another victim in the flood, the number of residents who have not been found is five people, namely Ibrahim aged 80 years, Ariani aged 35 years, Fahri is 4 years old, Algifari is 4 years old and Juliana is 30 years old.
