Case Of Alleged SDIT Teacher In Mataram NTB Harassing Students Rises Investigation

JAKARTA - The status of handling cases of alleged sexual harassment against a number of students from one of the Mataram City Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools (SDIT) has increased investigations.

"So, just up the investigation, no suspect has been named yet," said Head of the Mataram Police Satreskrim AKP Regi Halili in Mataram, NTB, Thursday, January 30, confiscated by Antara.

As material for the need for the determination of the suspect, he said that investigators still needed complete evidence from the psychological expert's statement.

"If that's the case (psychology expert), then we will hold it to determine the suspect," he said.

For the needs of other evidence, Regi ensured that investigators had obtained the results of the examination of victims who came from elementary school students with a total of five children.

"We have also examined the reported party," he said.

The reported party in this case is a teacher who teaches at SDIT. He is suspected of sexually harassing the victims while giving lessons to the victims.

The alleged perpetrator in this case is suspected of committing obscene acts by holding a number of sensitive parts of the victim, but it does not reach sexual behavior.

This case has also caught the attention of the Mataram City Child Protection Agency (LPA). LPA ensures that SDIT has taken firm action on this case by dismissing the reported party as a teaching staff.

The Mataram Police are handling this case based on the report of one of the victim's parents. The handling of the case is now under the control of the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the Mataram Police Satreskrim.
