Long Queue, Police Close Path From Cianjur By Pass To Puncak

The Cianjur Resort Police, West Java, closed the route to Cipanas, Puncak, starting from the Gentur Light Roundabout, By Pass, Cianjur, to anticipate total congestion in line with the long queue of vehicles on the Puncak route on Monday.

KBO Then Cianjur Police Inspector of Police Satu Muchtaromi said the long queue of vehicles had occurred since noon on the main route of Puncak so that officers carried out a number of traffic flow engineering, including a one-way system and closed the route to Puncak.

"Vehicles bound for Puncak from Cianjur are directed to alternative routes for Jonggol and Sukabumi to anticipate total traffic jams on the Puncak route in line with the high volume of vehicles from both directions," he said.

The diversion of traffic flow was carried out due to the situation of the flow of vehicles in the Puncak area, especially in the Gunung Mas area, where queues continued to lengthen, even though a one-way system had been implemented towards Bogor from Puncak-Cianjur.

He explained that the volume of vehicles passing through the Puncak route, Bogor, from both directions, increased quite high during the long holidays of Isra Miraj and the 2025 Chinese New Year, so that officers carried out a number of traffic flow engineering in order to anticipate total congestion.

"The closure is situational, when the queue melts, the lane will be opened normally, when there is a queue again, the same thing will be applied on Sunday (26/1) evening," he said.

Along with the high volume of vehicles passing through the Puncak route, the police asked motorists with the aim of Bogor or vice versa to Cianjur to use alternative routes to avoid queues along the Puncak route.

He predicts the volume of vehicles will continue to increase with the aim of tourist attractions along the Puncak-Cipanas route for the next two days or until Wednesday (29/1).

"For motorists with the aim of Cianjur from Bogor or vice versa, they can use the alternative route for Jonggol and Sukabumi to avoid long queues of vehicles during the long holidays of Isra Miraj and Chinese New Year 2025," he said.

Reporting from ANTARA, during the closure of the route to Puncak from Cianjur, the queue of vehicles was seen one kilometer from the direction of Bandung or vice versa from the city of Cianjur, so that many motorists used the alternative route Jonggol and Sukabumi.

Meanwhile, local motorists with the aim of Cipanas, choose to pass on the alternative Cianjur route, Cugenang, penetrate Mangun and continue to Cipanas with the condition of the road passing by vehicles.
