After Paulus Tannos Was Arrested, The KPK Makes Sure Harun Masiku Continues To Be Chased

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that the pursuit of another fugitive, namely former PDI-P candidate (PDIP) Harun Masiku, continues.

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika after one of the fugitives, Paulus Tannos was arrested by the Singaporean authorities. The corruption suspect in the procurement of electronic identity cards (e-KTP) is now undergoing temporary detention for 45 days according to the rules of the extradition agreement.

"(The search for HM, ed) is still active (implemented, ed)," Tessa told reporters in a written statement, Monday, January 27.

Tessa could not detail the search process. Likewise, there may be new clues after examining a number of witnesses, including Daniel Masiku, who is Harun Masiku's relative.

"The investigators cannot open it at this time (related to the existence or absence of new clues, ed)," he said.

Previously reported, Paulus Tannos, who is the President Director of PT Sandipala Arthapura, was finally arrested by Singaporean authorities after being on the wanted list since 2021. He was named a suspect in the corruption case in the procurement of electronic identity cards (e-KTP) by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in 2019.

At that time he was named by the KPK as a suspect along with three other people, namely Isnu Edhi Wijaya as the former President Director of the Indonesian State Printing Corporation (PNRI); 2014-2019 DPR RI member Miryam S Haryani; and former Head of the Information Technology Technical Team for the Application of e-KTP Husni Fahmi.

Meanwhile, Harun Masiku, who is a suspect in the alleged bribery of the interim replacement (PAW) for members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), is still at large. He continues to be sought after escaping a hand arrest operation (OTT) in 2020.

The wanted list (DPO) containing Harun's data has been updated by including a number of characteristics. Among other things, this fugitive is said to have a height of 172 cm with black hair and mature sawo skin.

Harun is also written as having special characteristics for glasses, thinness, having a loud voice. In addition, he also speaks in a Toraja or Bugis accent.
