Depok City Manpower Office, West Java, has formed a monitoring team to ensure the implementation of the 2025 Depok City Minimum Wage (UMK) increase in local companies.

"This monitoring team was formed in response to demands from the union so that the implementation of the UMK can run well," said Head of the Depok City Manpower Office, Sidik Mulyono, in an interview with ANTARA on Thursday, January 24.

Depok UMK in 2025 increased by 6.5 percent to Rp5,195,720.78, from the previous Rp4,878,612 in 2024, with an increase of Rp317,109.78.

Sidik explained that the monitoring team will monitor and ensure that the increase in UMK in companies runs in accordance with applicable regulations.

"This team will be tasked with optimizing the implementation of the UMK increase by directly monitoring companies," he added.

Although UMK monitoring is the authority of the Department of Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of Manpower Supervisory (Wasnaker) in the region, Sidik stated that this monitoring team will help optimize the monitoring process.

"We will continue to coordinate with the Wasnaker UPTD to ensure that the implementation of UMK in companies runs smoothly," he concluded.

Sidik hopes that all companies in Depok City can increase the UMK for their workers in accordance with the stipulated provisions.
